Best Music Player For Windows
Maybe needs an amp booster or preamp. My old but still used player does that and I certainly need that with this new Hyundai.
This Santa Fe boasts an Infinity sound system but man it is just a name. My old 2004 Sonata was way better and my 2098 Titan truck with a Rockford Fosgate system blows both away. Need the Apple CarPlay ability but more Cow bell from the VOX app. Great app but no UI for iPad 4/5. After spending several hours uploading my iTunes music library, streaming to my iPhone doesn’t work: Songs often fail to start at all, and once starting, drop out after a few seconds of playback.
This is under conditions where streaming from Spotify and Tidal works fine. During the first week of my subscription, the Vox website was down for 4 days and I was unable to download the player to my laptop and couldn't reach customer service. I asked for a refund less than a week into a 2-year subscription. When the company finally responded, they wrote there were no refunds, period, and they deleted my complaints posted to their forum. Is this the sort of company you want to do business with? If not, avoid this service. UPDATE TO REVIEW AFTER DEVELOPER RESPONSE: The developer's friendly, cheerful reply to my review is disingenuous: When I asked for a refund less than a week into a 2-year subscription, they flatly refused.
Their lossless streaming service doesn't work on my iPhone. I checked again yesterday, and it still doesn't work. My original review stands. Almost perfect 5/5.
A clean nice app for audiophiles. The current pricing scheme (89 dollars for 2 years) is FAIR.
Not sure why so much complaining. What Vox needs is: 1.

Give detailed album information, see Roon. Lyric support is needed. Implement software based DSD decoding so I can play my dsf music files. WORK ON THE MAC APP.
It’s nowhere near good enough. Again, see Roon.
Or Audirvana. The single side panel pane is ridiculously small and anemic. Doesn’t focus enough on the music. Too many unnecessary elements. Otherwise, solid effort. Keep improving. Keep the good value price.

Takes forever to start up the app 2/5. I love this app so much, it's replaced my default player! The EQ and crossfade options make this a fantastic app for my music library. I also love that I can listen to SoundCloud just as easily, as if it's on your phone too.
There are just a couple things I would love to be features that would make this an easy 5/5! Firstly, track-by-track volume equalization would be greatly appreciated. Having to control the volume every few songs can get rather annoying. Secondly, being able to see the lyrics. I have custom lyrics saved on most of my songs, so being able to read them would be a big plus! Being a part of the tags, it should be pretty easy to implement this.
If these features are put in, I would never use another music app on my phone. Other than that, this is a great app!.
Clean and clear! Make equalizer premium after update!!
And need 49 $ per year!!! I have it on older version: you cant find any note in update note to know that after update you lose some futures!! Any way, update to lose futures. Hate you vox - answer to developers!: hi yeah you are right! Premium have lots of futures that i dont need. And, i never pay for this kind of development ( update to lose futures ).
Be aware next update: -new futures and bugs fix then just want to pause my music and the pop up show! And tell me go premium to have that option:)))))) shame. $60 a year just use the equalizer.? Let me make sure I have this straight. You want me to pay $60 a year. For the “privilege“ of using the built-in equalizer in the application?
Care to guess why I’m giving you two stars? I’ll download the Onkyo product and pay $10 for the same privilege. Thanks but no thanks.

EDIT: I appreciate that the developer took the time to respond my review however my review still stands. You’re asking me to subscribe to something that other people provide as part of the cost of the product. And then you try to explain it by saying it’s because you’re a small shop. There are plenty of small shops that do not stick it to their customers like that. 😍😍😍😍 5/5. I’m pretty sure my previous review was deleted. Anyway, this app could be a gem were it not for the UI, which is not intuitive.
The main menu seems hidden and to get to it you have to press a down arrow icon. Collections are pointless if you’re gonna have playlists.
I complained about not being able to give my music metadata such as a genre or album name in an email, but a music app developer seemed to have no idea of what i was talking about. I’m looking at the app now and when I open the Library section, I can only sort my music by artist, then year. That’s it guys? Also, I still have to manually add my music to my phone bc VOX can’t sync my Mac/iPhone libraries automatically when I connect my phone to my computer, but they do want me to pay for that cloud service to do it. I would not mind paying for Premium if small issues like these were fixed.
Oh, and once again developers, please condescend me in a response. That’s how you get someone to pay for a Premium membership. A PITA right out of the gate.
